Clonbur Limestone Pavement

The geosite of Clonbur Limestone Pavement is located on the shores of Lough Mask in the Coillte woodlands north of Clonbur village. The site presents a fresh limestone pavement sitting above the lake waters only since the opening of the Cong canal in the 1850s. Many of the epikarst features visible on the site are rare to unique in the world. More information here (external link).
